I strive to get in touch with the fashion industry as often as possible. This amazing manifestation of human culture is very interesting to me. Modern fashion photography is part of modern art. This is a challenge for me. I try to develop my feelings and expand my knowledge for the most elegant and original embodiment of ideas.
Achromatic romance beckons me. This is a parallel reality in which everything is perceived by us more clearly and sharply. Gestalt is revealed more fully. Nothing distracts from the essence. A black and white photograph is hidden and displayed at the same time. Conventionality helps the author walk along the razor's edge. From everyday life to a fantasy fantasy world. I am a fan of this style.
How do teenagers dress now on the streets? I see something new. They combine trends and elements of a subculture. From ready-made, brilliant looks from advertising companies, they take something special. Everyone in this choice behaves unique. Despite the common features, there are no two identical looks. It is very interesting. This project is still being filled. More than 200 young people took part in my project and I continue to search.
I am human. I have a hormonal system that makes me a slave to the love of the human body. I am sure that everything is graceful in the world. But precisely because of my predisposition, like a butterfly, I fly to the light emanating from beautiful bodies. My grandfather was a sculptor. Perhaps his gift was transmitted to me to feel the magic of beauty. I photograph a person as a work of art.
I am not only a human, but also a man. I did not choose this gender, but I am glad that I have the special vision to see beauty in a woman. In the same way, a woman sees beauty in a man. May the nature that gives my inspiration power be revealed in these photographs. For me, these are special moments, I remember them as the most interesting shootings. I, as an invisible spirit and artist, notice beauty and sexuality. These photos are my personal. I can talk about each of them for a very long time. Because they all form countless strings of a giant harp. I play melodies of romance on it.
Once, a very long time ago, I was so close to real beauty that I went blind. I was blinded by the angels who looked at me from paintings of the most beautiful era. My mother is an art critic. From an early age she introduced me to art, since then I have been in love with beauties from paintings of the 19th century.
There are places on this planet where human hands were attentive to everything that surrounds. Love of nature is easy to spot. I want to return to such places. I am very grateful for the photo, which can save happy moments for me. These are parts of my dreams. If I could, I would forever remain among this poetry.
History
The study of art cannot take place outside the context of history. I am interested in the life and feelings of people who lived in distant times. A long time ago. What does it mean to put on their things. What do you feel at the same time. Perhaps this way we can better understand modern fashion? I have been fond of historical reconstruction of clothes for a very long time. It gives me a special enjoyment of modernity. Our comfort is better than royal. Understanding this is also a piece of happiness.
My family, like yours, was visited by a huge war that lasted almost 30 years. The entire first half of the 20th century. The conflict, which caught fire in the era of empires, could end in rain from the tears of millions of people. All of humanity has been directly or indirectly affected by very dangerous ideas. I have always been interested in the theme of war, as an opportunity to show through it a person’s love for life. Both of my films tell that a person is called to live, called to create. Murder and destruction is a hellish card in which you won nothing. Those who kill and those who take revenge are guilty. The cycle will stop only forgiveness.
Short Film "Son"
In 2017, my second short film was completed (~ 25 minutes). Also about the period of the Second World War. This time, many of my friends and comrades who made a great contribution to the creation of this film responded to my call. Particularly grateful to Roman and Lola Magarshak.
In 2016, I almost single-handedly organized the filming of my first short film. This is a real feature film. In many ways, my first movie is a big experiment. Thanks to all those who gave the opportunity to create this work.
The swallow was presented at many festivals in Russia and abroad. It is also free to view in schools.
